Thanks to the local community centre, you can bank a cheque, play samba, join the ukulele orchestra, or melt into the chatter of the coffee mornings.. and you can have a look at Part One of my current collection of sculptures - sniff #1

Come along to The Cafe at Holmfirth Tech, HD9
The venue is open mostly until 8pm except Sundays/Bank Holidays, and you are welcome to view the exhibition even when there are gatherings in the cafe.

I love the sensory world, and sensory motifs.

Hands, eyes, ears, mouths, noses…  the parts where the external and internal worlds pass through, linger, are expelled and injested. So expect some body parts, some wool, wood and wire (my faithful trio of go to sustainable materials).

Poster for Sniff #1 - an exhibition at Holmfirth Tech throughout May 2026

1. I need a deadline to complete artworks, else I’ll make, iterate, remake.. not commit.
2. I need a neutral space to take photos, sculpture is hard enough to capture without fantastic woodland sceneries stealing the show.
3. With photos I can apply for exhibition opportunities.

Ergo.. I need an exhibition to apply for exhibitions.
(This has taken me an aching while to figure out and another aching while to actually achieve). So I am please as punched to have scored a slot at the very local Holmfirth Tech this May. (Please consider a donation to the maintenance of the building).

This show feels like the beginning of a series, the initial explorations of ‘this goes here and that goes there’. Hope is… it’s the beginning of something quite adventurous. That this show somehow leads to a thread of good opportunities.
So, if you would like to see The Early Adventures of Kin… pop by.
